ENG SUB 《夫人，大可不必》EP1： 契约夫妻初相识！成亲当晚陆婉儿竟被下药？ “Hold On My Lady”【芒果TV大芒频道】
My name is Lu Wan’er I’m 19 My dad is Lu Shisan We have good ties with the Huangfu Family since my childhood Bah I was engaged to Huangfu’s Family When our family fortunes declined, we left the capital My parents died, and I became an orphan
So I fulfilled the marriage agreement to marry Huangfu Yao the second young master of the Piaoqi General’s Family Bah What kind of words are these? so hard to memorize Lu Wan’er is 19 Beautifully appearance as polished jade good quality like clear ice and embellished jade
Today’s ceremony has completed to begin a good marriage You two love each other as love birds and flatfish live happily together and make a harmonious home May you be married forever like mandarin duck Master, it’s time for us to move on OK Wait Go Go away, go away It’s unlucky Boss, it’s noon
But we did not meet any escort wagon we will have nothing to eat if this goes on Piaoqi General will send the birth gift to the minister of Ministry of Revenue How he got the wrong time? Listen, everybody Today, only success is allowed no failure Brother, rest assured Got it, boss
Boss, you know How long has it been we haven’t got a big deal since the death of the old chief? Hey, if it works today Bah It must be a success today Hey-hey! we go back to kill a pig to celebrate How about you cook by yourself? Hahaha, thank you, boss So
No one is to do anything at will Follow my instructions When I give the order you must get all things from the wagon Brother, rest assured Don’t worry Here it comes Go Go Eh Eh You Eh Damned Oh my The old chief I will never be able to repay you
For your kindness to Dawan You entrusted me with the boss But I can’t protect her Cry, cry, you keep crying Sister Meng Jiang can cry down the Great Wall It is not a problem for you to cry down a firewood house If you have such time why don’t you think about
How we’re gonna get out of here Boss Will we die here? It’s the general we’ve offended No, it’s impossible I am Bai Yunfeng, young and beautiful What bloody business have I not done? How could I die in a place like this? Then if anyone comes to inquire us we just make an apology
And admit our offense I don’t want to be killed I’m afraid of pain Have you forgotten all that my father used to teach you? That’s all you’re scared of? Boss I’m so hungry When I get back I must have a good meal I’d like to eat braised pig toe with sauce
Eggplant juice with rice and fried yellow croaker It’s best to add pot of good yellow wine Then you need garlic snails and sliced mutton Hahahaha General The bandits of Baisha Fort have all been caught It’s all handled It’s all done as you ordered Now there are only two masterminds left Yeah Good
You go with me to meet this Bai Yunfeng Who? Thank god Thank god Yeah It’s better than I expected Pretty good Bad guy If you want to fight and kill just do it if you have the ability let us free and talk Daring girl
How dare you to be so rude when you see Piaoqi General Huangpu You salute quickly General You It is my misfortune to fall into your hands today I, Bai Yunfeng, did it myself I ordered my brothers to rob your birth gift I gave the idea I gave the order
They’re just acting on order so you’re going to come to me and not bother my brothers if you have anything to do Interesting So bold Sister Bai, you’re wrong about us We come today It’s not about punishing you but discuss some important thing with you You are an official
And I am a bandit leader what’s there to discuss? My son Huangfu Yao He is 20 it is the time for marriage If I want you as my son’s wife isn’t that a matter for discussion? Oh my Master This is a post sent by Mr. Li, the assistant minister of Ministry of Works
I won’t take it Master Don’t blame me if I talk much you have read plenty of poetry and books you must be an official in the future Why don’t you know more young talents? Assistant minister of Ministry of Works He The purpose of this person to connect me is not pure
If I received this letter wouldn’t it be embarrassing for my father ? That’s my fault Has my father returned to the house? I was about to tell you the master asked you to go to the side hall to talk something The 1st master is already waiting there My brother is also there
Father, brother You are looking for me for something Good It’s about your marriage Your articles on criticizing the current situation are widely circulated in the capital city Now You are the most ideal candidate of son-in-law in the eyes of Ministers You made yourself in the limelight made father worry about it all night
Hasn’t this matter been settled by father Father has always been discreet In order not to offend any minister father lied that I had an engagement with a girl named Lu Wan’er Has father already found a girl who has no household register, no parents and knows nothing, hasn’t it? Today
I went to meet that girl She is indeed the perfect option to impersonate Lu Wan’er But But she is ugly and silly If you really marry her I’m afraid you are not able to divorce her in the future Regarding the marriage issue It’s all up to father
If this girl really wants to marry me Then she will be the benefactor of our Huangfu Family Brother Yue Qingrou, the youngest daughter of Mr. Yue’s family grew up with you together Don’t you really feel a little bit pity for that He The wild ambition Mr. Yue is obvious
It’s not a wise move to unite with his family by marriage Moreover, Qingrou and I are just brothers and sisters Nothing else Muer Yeah You haven’t talked to Yuanjun about it, have you She is just a woman, what can she know? That’s good Just for her personal condition
I feel sorry that you need to accept her I never take love affairs to my heart Whether the person is beautiful or ugly smart or dull For me It’s the same So you don’t want her beloved son to marry an ugly and silly girl But you can’t find other right people either
I happened to be caught by you And I am a stunning girl Coincidentally, as a bandit, we don’t have household register Everything is by chance So you want me to be your daughter-in-law Exactly I was born and raised in bandits’ lair I risk my neck to make a living every day
I never expect that I can fly to the branches and become a Phoenix Such a good thing Of course I won’t accept it You are such an unruly girl How dare you tease us What are you talking about Who teased you There is room to maneuver Bai Yunfeng
I am not negotiating with you It’s a threat Even if you don’t think for yourself you should think over for your brothers Baisha Fort has been broken through All your brothers are in jail Their lives depend on your decision Since it’s a threat Why do you discuss with me Absurd It seems that
The people from Baisha Fort are yielding to force but rejecting a soft approach Come, someone Yes Sir Come on There are Dongpo meat fried chicken and shredded tripe Chinese prickly ash and peanut Oh my as well as stewed mutton here As long as you consent to the marriage
You can have this meal right away Boss, consent to this marriage That young master is handsome and rich According to your personal condition It’s hardly ever to find this kind of man Go You You can just kill me But Chen Dawan has nothing to do with this You set him free
He’s already known the secret of Huangfu Family Do you really think he can get out of here alive You Boss, help me I don’t want to die I promise you Hahahaha That’s right Oh my Hahahaha This chicken is overdone If the blanching step is changed to steaming
The taste will be improved a lot The cooks in your General Mansion are just so so So you also good at cooking It’s not that our boss is proficient in cooking Our boss’ cooking skill is peerless in the world Haha By the way about the marriage I have two conditions
Sister Bai, please say it You give me a written pledge First You must be kind to all my brothers from Baisha Fort After the event passes You need to set them free Second I can’t spend the rest of my life in your General Mansion When the occasion is ripe
You ask you son to write the letter of divorce and give me my freedom OK Give me writing brush and ink Yes sir Cui’er Tell me if I am good-looking Lady, you are like a fairy Of course, you look stunning So compared with that Lu Wan’er Of course, you are better
Lady, to be honest There are numerous young talents in the capital city admire you It’s just that Master Huangfu doesn’t have such a good fortune Since Master Huangfu has married Lady, why don’t you just put it down I have my own way to make this marriage impossible Brother Yao can only be mine
Let’s ask this new couple to drink cross-cupped wine we wish them a long marriage There is wine Great, bring it to me um It’s been a tough day I haven’t eaten anything You didn’t even let me drink some water Is this getting married or a torture He You are new here
I assume that you don’t know the wedding customs in the capital city For the bride you can eat only after we finish the bridal chamber affair When will we do our bridal chamber affair Hurry up Don’t waste time Eh The ceremony is completed Let’s go Take all of these away Eh Sister This
Where are you going There are also guests and friends in the vestibule I’ll be back later You just married into Huangfu Family for the first day You already can’t bear the temporary separation with your husband Sister, don’t worry My brother won’t fly away Who can’t bear for his leaving Absurd Brother Yao
Brother Yao, this marriage is not your intention Right? This is the order of parents and the words of a match-maker The wedding has been completed She is my wife now You know that’s not what I’m asking You and I grew up together I know you’ve never had any engagement
Uncle Huangfu forced you to get married right? Since you are forced You can resist it We Our Huangfu Family’s affairs Of course, we can’t reveal to outsiders But All the female guests are having meals in parlor Miss Yue Don’t follow me He Miss Yue Qingyou, wait Your sleeves are dirty Oh my
Thank you for reminding me Father I have something to ask you What is it? It seems that the bride is not the same as people described before Well, this thing Yes, you are right Rich family is really different It’s really ostentatious and extravagant Wow This wedding dress has so many layers It’s suffocating
And so hot What’s wrong with me? Palpitation No, I must be too hungry How lousy Huangfu Family is They don’t even give food to the bride I am the chief of Baisha Fort How could I die here due to starvation There is even no water Damned Eh Boss, you can’t come out What
House arrest of a bride? Go to bring me some food, water is also OK I’m hungry and sleepy now and thirsty It’s like I’ve been drugged by knockout drop I don’t know where there is water and food and didn’t your fake husband said you can only eat after the bridal chamber affair
As if I care about their rules I will be the young madame in this mansion in the future My words are the rules Come on Omg Boss Our lives are still in the old man’s hands Control your temper Put up with it, then we will be safe Put up with it
The more I think about it, the more angry I am Eh Eh You can’t do it Don’t Dawan, mind your own business Oh my gosh Oh my gosh There is even no a little bit food in General Mansion They want to starve me to death Hey There should be some water Ha-ha
Come on Thank you all Come on, please Mr. Yue Come on Please Congratulations Ha-ha Great, Ha-ha Enjoy your meal Come on Thank you for your coming Please Chef Zhao, can we start I was going to ask you the same question What’s going on with the madame
Why still hasn’t she asked someone to bring the special pear tree firewood which is specifically used to cook fried pork with pear flavor here I’m ready for that long time ago I am just waiting for firewood I’m going to ask right now Go Everybody Make yourself at home Oh my
Eat and drink well! Enjoy your meal and drink Hahahaha Yuanjun Zhou Yuanjun Honey What is the matter Why is the wedding banquet of General Mansion so dilatory Chef Zhao asked why that pear tree firewood still hadn’t been sent there It’s not my fault It’s because I don’t want your explanation
Within the time of a stick of incense If I won’t see the pear tree firewood, you bear the consequence Huh! Come on What’s going on If I don’t do it myself, whatever you do, it sucks Oh my Ghost! Who are you? Wedding dress You Are you the young madame
Do you have something to eat Young madame There is the wedding banquet today Master asked chef Zhao to show fried pork with pear flavor All the ingredients have been taken to the vestibule Now you can only find food in the vestibule Vestibule But everything is uncooked It’s uncooked I am afraid you can’t
Hey, hey Young madame You can’t You can’t go there Help me get up, come on What’s the rule of the marriage in General Mansion? The bride can even go to the reception hall What? Why are you standing there? Bring your bowls and chopsticks here let’s eat together This is your wife you married
How dare she lord over in such a formal situation? Huh! I think it is good Ha-ha Look how inexperienced you are! don’t you even know what hotpot is? Lu Wan’er are you drunk? How could you be so presumptuous on the wedding day! So smart how do you know I’m drunk? Absurd
Though I have had only one drink I don’t know why I feel I’m getting drunk You Huh! Let’s eat You can’t make all of us eat food from the same pot this is so rude But it smells so good Have more of it! Young Madame where did you learn to make this dish?
You won’t believe it if I say before coming to the capital when I was in Bashu area my wife can’t drink too much let me bring her back to the room to take a rest Eh Go, go, go Mr. Yue Yeah people in love! Nice, nice. Hahaha
Please take a seat, we can keep drinking come on, come on, come on Boss, master, haha Why don’t you go out? Honey, you are so handsome Why your boss is like this now? According to my experience there’s knockout drop in the wine Knockout drop? Master, don’t worry about it
It’s just knockout drop, it won’t hurt our boss it just makes her a bit excited and passionate No wonder I just wonder she was brought up in uncultivated family but she wouldn’t go so far but who did this? Your sleeves are dirty Master, Master! Call my boy attendant Siyi here
Ask him for a bowl of soup to sober her up Okay! Brother Yao Brother Yao I’m not feeling very well I wanna ask Brother Yao to take me to the side room to take a rest It’s late the wedding ceremony is over
I think Mr. Yue will take you back to your mansion later besides you are a girl unmarried if you are sleeping here, it will take a lot of criticism for us you know that I like you why did you marry other girl? I already known everything that girl is… Don’t at least
Stay here with me tonight? I know you will divorce her sooner or later I can wait for you Today is my wedding day I will go back to General Mansion later to stay with my wife I knew it you know what you’ve done Who? Eh Sorry, Huangfu Yao
I didn’t know it was you I forgot that I’m in General Mansion You should change your bad habit General Mansion is not Baisha Fort it’s heavily guarded here nobody will attack you you should give me some time to fit in I’m warning you don’t ask too much it’s just a game Eh
You brought something delicious? I didn’t know you are so considerate now that it’s a game we should have some rules I sleep in bed on odd day, you will sleep in bed on odd day you can go anywhere in General Mansion when I’m in study don’t bother me
If you don’t have important thing for me besides you’ve already married into Huangfu Family you should obey the rules regarding all ages hierarchy to brother, sister and father Are you finished? Why are you just like a woman matchmaker, keep nagging Are you the wife or I am?
I just tell you the things you should know There’s only one thing I should know how much can I get monthly to be your young madame? Lu Wan’er, you… could it be that our Huangfu Family will make you lack food or clothes? Problem solved sleep early if you have nothing else to do
Today is the day of even number you sleep on bed, I sleep in the exterior room why you are just like a shy girl? Ha don’t you think that I have a thing for… I’m not shy There’s nothing to be shy about I… ugh I don’t like sleeping with other people
If you keep saying that I will kick your ass Lu Wan’er I don’t have many advantages keeping my words is one of them You’d better nicely sleep here don’t talk those empty principle of ethical code Lu Wan’er, you… Boss, there’s… do you obey or not, Huangfu Yao ?

Tell me how should I keep accounts I’ll teach you Huangfu Yao, be patient! I know nothing about reading and writing Do you know how to write you name? Yeah Bai Yun Feng I mean Lu Wan’er my dad didn’t teach me this now that you know the names of these gifts
You can fill the names in the account book Lu Wan’er Lu Wan’er Come on Mater left home and went to the military camp before 5 o’clock he said he’s too busy with his work he cut it off of the etiquette of meeting the new bride General’s family they don’t care about these formalities
It’s right but people know master doesn’t care about young master’s marriage Master, you are an outstanding person but you were forced to marry a female bandit it makes me so angry That leader of bandit didn’t force you last night? Huh… Huangfu Yao are you human? I had only slept for half of night
You didn’t even hold me to the bed we are husband and wife you don’t even help me of that I learned writing for half of the night I said I don’t like people to sleep with me you are a married person why are you so shy Second Young Madame
As long as you’ve already married into General Mansion you should change your disobedient character or people will find out it, bringing trouble for us I am trapped here all the day didn’t step out a step What trouble can I make? Besides
When the trade is done, I will go back to the Baisha Fort if I don’t look like bandit now how can I keep them in check? You will go back to Baisha Fort? Why? You don’t want me to go? Don’t worry Me, Bai Yunfeng Nope I’m not that kind of person
Who abandoned people after taking advantage of them we will bring you back to the fort and make you be the wife of our leader these brothers will respect you won’t let you suffer any injustice Don’t you know Baisha Fort has already been cleared out and tore down it won’t exist anymore? Ahhhhh
Damn it! That old guy lied to me Boss, he only promised they will let those brothers go but he didn’t say he won’t tear it down Who are you with, brat! What should we do now? Can’t I reestablish one if he tore that one down? when it’s the time
I will divorce Huangfu Yao in peace go back and reestablish Baisha Fort For now we have only some pennies how can we reestablish our stockade? Don’t worry how much do we need? I’ll make money from Huangfu Yao Good for you, boss but Huangfu Yao looks so weak and polite we can’t scare him
We should hit on what he likes What do you mean? Scholars all like lyre-playing, chess, calligraphy and painting Lyre-playing, chess, calligraphy and painting Honey I admire your good looking then I especially painted for you I hope you will like it Hey Who is… Lu Wan’er
Second young madame definitely was listening your words this morning she’s following the girls in noble families Young Master, take a look of this painting Young Master, she called you a tortoise Honey you haven’t given me any response for that painting I think you probably don’t like it for this time, I especially
Learned to write I wrote a love poem for you all words are delivering my love for you Don’t throw them away, Second Young Master Guess second young madame knows she made a mistake so she especially learned to write these words for you you should at least take a look of it
What things match with each other perfectly the things from sky and on the ground tortoise encounters with green beans wins over everything in this world Young Master, she insulted you again Boss Didn’t you say you wanna flatter Huangfu Yao? You are making him hate you even more
Is it because you drew something inappropriate? Not at all the round thing looks so lucky you said it’s cute too But tortoise and green beans… It means we are well suited to each other Don’t talk nonsense if you don’t understand it Siyi, wait! The dishes are fine why did you take they away?
Second young master have had them There are so many left your master is out of touch with reality he wants to be immortal? The chef in mansion cooked in troop Second young master is used to eating delicious food it’s natural that he don’t wanna them now that it doesn’t suit for him
Who didn’t he tell the cooks in mansion? It’s useless It looks like second young master is famous and honorable in capital actually he has no place in General Mansion which attach great importance to martial arts His big brother doesn’t care it? you’d better behave yourself
Don’t make those paintings and poems to make second young master angry I made him mad? Absurd Dawan Yeah I know how can I make money! Yeah What are you talking about? You don’t like the food cooked by cook in mansion I will cook for you in the future
Taking about cooking, if I’m the second in the world nobody can call him the first you’re the second young madame in General Mansion if you stays in kitchen all the day it will make people laugh at us Wife cooking for husband it’s doesn’t it mean that we have
Bond as love birds and flatfish bond as love birds and flatfish Why do you wanna cook for me suddenly? I noticed that you’re thin out of hunger look your waist! Ouch! It makes me feel so bad about it your clothes even doesn’t fit Are you worrying about me? You are my husband

You can give me a three-day probation you will know after you have the food cooked by me even if I die from hunger I will never have food cooked by you Huh! Eh Huangfu Yao, never say never everything is not as important as eating- Lu Wan’er where are you going?
How did I tell you before? That’s the precious horse I bought all the way from tartars it requires food made of fresh green grass on suburb hills premium sorghum and superior herb if horse doesn’t like it you have to change the recipe right now Come here look at the forage
My horse hasn’t had much Sorry, Young Master. I know I made a mistake I… I was just too busy with other things I forgot about changing the recipe I will prepare new forage I’m sure your house won’t be hungry What a General Mansion!
A horse is honorable than the second young master in this mansion If this spreads out won’t it make people make fun of your Huangfu Family that you are uncultured? Lu Wan’er, what are you doing here? Did the attendant of second young master tell you
Meals in mansion are added too much salt and oil he’s not used to that This Do you think you become the phoenix after marrying into General Mansion? Don’t you know who you are? Lu Wan’er, you don’t have a say in this Get out! No, no, no now that I saw it
I have to figure it out Why does the horse of big brother can be well fed but as the Second Young Master, Huangfu Yao is neglected by cooker like this He What do you mean by saying my brother is neglected? This chef have been cooking for me and father Why?
So you are saying my brother’s nobler than father? Food cooked by one chef we can eat them but he can Brother, you just said it yourself I did Hey! Hey, hey, hey! You crazy woman! Bah Why are you so powerful with your strength? Lu Wan’er, this isn’t over between us
It’s so noisy in the back kitchen what are you doing? Honey Go get that crazy woman for me punish her with family disciplines Wan’er just married into Huangfu Family I’m afraid it’s not good Even you wanna go against me? I don’t Shi, go and catch Lu Wan’er

Now he’s making all of the guards in mansion to catch second young madame Lu Wan’er! Don’t you dare to come down? Come up here if you get balls! What are you talking about? Huh! Brother Brother this is the wife you married officially she’s just a crazy woman
Climbing over the wall just because we disagree with each other she won’t come down anyway Disagree? But why do I feel Wan’er was forced to get on the wall? What are you talking about? Brother Wan’er just married me in the General Mansion if other people know that
She was scared to climb over the wall by my brother and sister not a few days since she was here I’m afraid that brother and sister will acquire a bad reputation of bullying little brother’s wife This crazy woman picked it up she…she Darling I’m just a weak woman
How can I fight with brother considering he’s a soldier? Honey, you have to get it even for me Hey, you crazy woman! Don’t rave about it! If I said something untrue why didn’t you reveal her lies? What did she say? She didn’t… she… Come on she just disrespect me with her nonsense
Wan’er was appointed to be my wife by my father if she has done something inappropriate I apologize to you for her for the sake of father please let it go for this time, okay? Yeah, how about just forgive her for this time, honey?
She’s not from some noble families, if she says something inappropriate we can just scold her for times don’t get so mad I will give you a break today, Lu Wan’er you’d better be careful don’t make me catch you tripping Leave here, leave here, leave here They’re gone don’t you go down?
You still have a conscience! you knew you should help me out here Omg Be careful! Ah-ouch! Huangfu Yao! You…! Bad thing, bad thing! Second young madame broke Second Young Master’s arm Honey Don’t put on a long face Thank you if you didn’t save me I’ll be the one lying down here
